Alien Ideals
Commander Black was sitting on the bridge when the first volley hit. "Red Alert, Captain to the bridge," he yelled out as the ship was rocked. When the captain arrived, Cmdr Black said, "Sir we are under attack, recommend defensive strategy 1-Alpha, to neutralize them." <Captain>

"Do it." Calvin nodded as he braced the arm rests of his chair. "Helm, coordinate evasive maneouvers with tactical." He added as he watched the view screen. "Aye sir, rolling ship." Helm responded. "Sensors detect their shields and weapons are failing sir, and their lifesupport is almost exhausted." Tactical reported. "Ready photons, fire on my mark." Calvin stated as he stood up. "Hail them" He said in a sharp tone. "Let's get this damned farce over with." Calvin muttered with a clear tone of annoyance. "This is the Captain of the USS Esevedo, You fired on my ship without provocation, I have a tactical officer with an nervous trigger finger and a photon torpdedo armed, ready and just waiting for me to give the word. So you surrender now, or I say the word and you start to see the afterlife, if you have one." He stated as he turned around and made his way to his chair but didnt sit down.

This is Captain Eloro Mancino. You have invaded our territory. Leave now or suffer the consequences. We are arming our weapons. If you do not leave now, you WILL be destroyed. End of message Commander Black looked at the Captain. "Sir, your orders?" <Calvin>

"Very well, if we're in their space, we'll leave..but before we do, confirm that we actually are in their space, or if they're just saying that because they have an agenda that they dont want to share..Hold position, but lay in a course back for Federation Space once we're done. Maintain Red alert, and keep shields and weapons online." He started. "When we leave, engage reverse engines back to Federation space, never turn your back on an unknown.." He added. <Black>

"Aye sir," Cmdr Black responded. Suddenly, the ship was rocked as another blast hit them. "Sir, they've fired again. Weapons, target their engine, cripple them if you can, but under no circumstances are you to shoot to kill"

"Target their weapons array too, I intend to send them a bill for the paint job." Calvin stated to no one in particular. "Let me know when they've been reduced to sitting ducks..maybe their captain will take the chance to talk...Lock on to any humanoid lifesigns and stand by to transport them to cargo hold six, assign security at all access points of the cargo bay and erect forcefields so no one can get in or out accept senior staff."

"Aye sir. Tactical, fire on my mark. Now!" After a moment, the alien ship was dead in the water. "Engineering, damage report. Transporters, lock on to humanoids and energize. Tell sick bay to expect casualties. Security, post guards on all entrances, exits and access tunnels to the Cargo hold, standard containment of possible hostiles; I want forcefields around the Cargo hold as well. No one is to leave, and no one is to enter but Senior Staff. And someone find me a stiff drink," Vincent added as a joke.

Calvin chuckled at Vincent's closing statement about the drink after issuing orders. "Make that two stiff drinks.." He retorted. "You have the bridge number one, I'm gonna be in my ready room sending my report to Starfleet. Let me know once we reach starbase." He added as he began heading to his ready room. <Vincent>

"Aye, sir. Helm set course for the station, best speed." Vince sat in the chair as an ensign brought him a double Scotch on the rocks. "I was joking, Ensign Wheeler. You know I don't drink on duty."

After interrogating the prisoners, Vincent went to the bridge. All was quiet as they made their way through the blackness. "Navigation, how long till we reach starbase?, he asked, looking over at the Lt. She swiveled in her chair and said, "Approximately 30 min., Sir" Vincent tapped his commbadge. "Captain to the Bridge. We will reach the Starbase in about 30 min. I don't know about you, but I could use a drink. If you need me I will be in the lounge." <Calvin>

At the same moment that the first officer was speaking, Savannah entered the bridge. She'd already checked into sickbay and met her staff, so she thought it was time to meet the senior staff. She looked around and saw the first officer in his chair, and approached him. "You must be the first officer, I'm Dr. Savannah Faren, the Chief Medical Officer."

"Yes, I'm Commander Vincent Black, welcome aboard. I trust you'll enjoy your tour of duty here." He shook her hand and said "If ya need anything, just let myself or the captain know"

Calvin entered the bridge after getting called by the first officer, and caught him before he left. He also noticed a young woman wearing the color of teal. "Hello, Welcome to the bridge......" Calvin said as he waited for a name. "Dr. Savannah Faren Sir, the new Chief Medical Officer." She replied. "Ahh, yes, Welcome aboard doctor, I'm Calvin Horatio, the Captain, care to join us in the lounge for a drink? I'm rather hungry and need to eat something." He said as his stomach growled. Savannah looked at him and grinned. "Indeed, You're stomach would have to agree..." She added with a smile. "Patteson, You have the bridge, call me when we get to space dock." Calvin said as the other two entered the turbo car. "Count on it Cap." Patteson replied with a nod. Seconds later, the three were in the turbo and on their way down to the lounge. Lounge Calvin entered the lounge with the two officers and took a seat near the window. A waiter approached to take their orders. Calvin ordered a bajoran hasparat and a highball to wash it down. Savannah ordered a Chicken caesar salad and an iced tea. The waiter made the orders, all that was left was the first officers order. <Black>

Vincent ordered a half a roast chicken, mashec potatoes and gravy, corn, and Apple pie for dessert, with an iced tea to drink. He hadn;t eaten in almost 6 hours and was hungry. As he finished his order, he glanced around the room and saw a lot of people whose lives he, along with the Captain, would be responsible. My first position of actual authority. he thought, and a frown creased his brow momentarily. I just hope I am ready for this. He turned his attention to the captain and the doctor, and sat there silently as they talked. <Calvin>

"Sirs, we've reached the starbase," the helmsman said over the comm, "initiating docking procedures." Vincent replied,"Thank you, helmsman. I'm on my way." Nodding to the captain and the doctor, he said, "I will take care of this sir. Waiter, wrap my food up and send it to my quarters." Vincent headed for the door.
